Thesis Statement

While the common conception of the U.S-Israel relationship is that the United States supports Israel because of shared commitment to democracy and moral values, Israel and the United States actually have a symbiotic relationship in which each county benefits from the other strategically, financially, economically, and technologically.

Questions to Consider

1) Do you think that the special nature of the U.S. - Israel relationship was inevitable? Or would a change in historic events cause the relationship between the two countries to be very different from what we know it to be today?

2) Do you think that there is any reason why either country would no longer benefit from the relationship in the future? Or will Israel and the U.S. always have a mutually symbiotic relationship?

3) How do you think the U.S. - Israel relationship will change from the Arab Spring?
